Drove up to eat breakfast at a local restaurant which was closed on Sundays. I had heard lots about Joe's place so I'm glad that they were open. They had a nice variety of choices for breakfast. I chose the Chilaquiles supreme and my husband had pancakes, eggs, and sausage. Both of us enjoyed our meals. The pancakes were fluffy and warm. The sausage was big blinks which I don't see very often anymore usually, they are tiny and scrawny. They checked our coffee and kept it filled to the brim. It was kind of funny as I sat there. My husband chose a table in the corner, like we were being bad kids, but you never know it because breakfast was so good. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Nice café with a local family ambience casual with plenty of seating. This is a cool old home turned restaurant. There's also plenty of parking on the street and in their parking lot which I missed, but I know I can park somewhere next time. We got lucky again with a good breakfast, which is sometimes not so easy to find. Big servings, delicious hashbrowns crispy, and warm on the inside.

3.5 stars. Saturday, November 2, 2024. When coming up to Paso Robles every few years to do some wine tasting, we usually ate breakfast ate Vic's but they are no longer in business sadly. So, the lady at the hotel told us about Joes when we asked her where we can now have a breakfast where the locals would eat. We don't like tourist restaurants. Anyway, the food was pretty good here this morning. They need to offer turkey sausage though. not everyone wants to eat Pork sausage. Parking is a little tight in their lot so if you have a really large car, you're not going to like it but you can park on the street also.. This place used to be a Mexican restaurant. I think it was called Lolos. We ate there once when it was Lolos but I don't think we liked it. It wasn't real Mexican. We would come here and eat again. It was very crowded though for a Saturday morning at 9:30 AM but that's a good sign people like this place. It's very popular.

I had breakfast here recently. The place was busy even though it was on the earlier side but I only waited about 10 minutes for a table. The older waitresses are a bunch of characters. One was definitely not have a good day but she was not my waitress. Mine was fine, as well as the other staff would all seemed to be helping out. I had the half order of biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon. Both were huge portions. The biscuits and gravy were very tasting. Nice flavor, bits of sausage throughout. Flavorful biscuit. The bacon was crisp and tasty. Overall a really nice hearty breakfast. I good local's spot.

This is as American as it gets!!! Old school diner with the usual breakfast and lunch menu options and traditional bar seating. No worries, they have regular tables as well. Went here with the fam for breakfast. I had the biscuits and gravy, kids had pancakes, and wife had an omelet. Everyone was happy and full. I also had the coffee and to my surprise it was solid. I love diners but many of them don't have good coffee. This place does. 5 stars all around.

Looking for a hearty and filling breakfast in Paso? Look no further. Joe's has that traditional diner feel and menu, while also throwing in some other fun breakfast/brunch favorites. We came to joes for breakfast on New Year's Day and those hefty portions were exactly what we needed to fill our bellies post full day of drinking. We got the Chilaquiles supreme and the bergin (biscuits and gravy) to share. Portions were HUGE, and we ended up leaving quite a bit of it behind. We also left a bit of our energy behind as those were heavy meals. Service was super friendly and food came up quick. Food was also pretty flavorful. Loved the crispy hashbrowns and sausage patty that came with the bergin.
